Cushman & Wakefield has strengthened its global reputation as a leading leader in corporate integrity and anti-corruption. One of the most recent milestones in this journey was the participation of our Compliance Manager for the Americas, Marcos Rossa, as a speaker at the Siemens Integrity Initiative event, held in Mexico by the United Nations Global Compact—one of the most important international platforms on corporate integrity.
In addition to representing Cushman & Wakefield on panels on strategic ESG communication with impacts and collective actions to combat corruption in Brazil at the UN headquarters in Mexico, Rossa also reinforces the firm's leadership role on this topic by serving as an advisory board member for collective actions to combat corruption for the UN Global Compact Brazil Network.
Brazilian Initiatives with International Recognition
The UN Global Compact Brazil Network has already facilitated four Collective Actions to Combat Corruption, two of which involved the contribution of Cushman & Wakefield, through Marcos Rossa, as official facilitator, bringing his experience to the advancement of ethical practices in different sectors.
Among these initiatives, the collective action to combat corruption in the agribusiness sector stands out, which has been in operation for five years and was recognized and won an award from the Basel Institute on Governance, Switzerland, as the best collective action to combat corruption in the world in 2024.
This same initiative also contributed to the UN Global Compact Brazil Network being honored with the "Role Model" award from the Siemens Integrity Initiative, recognizing it as a global model for collective anti-corruption actions among all Global Compact networks—a recognition that reinforces the positive impact of these actions on the international stage. Far Beyond the Real Estate Sector
One aspect that sets Cushman & Wakefield apart is that its commitment to integrity extends beyond its industry. Through its Ethics & Compliance department, the firm has contributed to the development of more robust anti-corruption processes throughout Brazil, supporting the construction of a more ethical and transparent corporate culture—both within and outside the real estate sector.
This stance is reflected in regular participation in relevant forums on the topic, such as ACI's Summit on Anti-Corruption, Integrity & ESG in Brazil, where the firm remains a key player and frequent panelist in critical discussions, such as solutions to ethical dilemmas that help shape the future of corporate integrity in Brazil and globally. Another event Rossa has regularly participated in is his Compliance classes, as a guest professor for Global Compliance in the Compliance Practices and Business Ethics course at PUC Campinas. Students actively participate in discussions and learn from the process, fostering integrity in business and public decisions for future generations.
