In a major boost, Cushman & Wakefield has secured a significant facilities management contract with BAE Systems Australia, reinforcing its growing reputation for managing complex and critical assets across some of the country's most remote locations.
Under the agreement, which commenced on 1 April 2025, Cushman & Wakefield will deliver facilities management services to Defence sites essential to Australia’s national security efforts.
The partnership underscores Cushman & Wakefield’s expertise in delivering tailored services for high-risk, autonomous sites —, isolated environments. The contract encompasses a broad range of services, including cleaning, catering, electrical works, HVAC maintenance, asset management, and transparent financial reporting.
Jon McCormick, Cushman & Wakefield’s Head of Integrated Facilities Management, ANZ, said the partnership was a testament to Cushman & Wakefield's capability to deliver in Australia's most demanding conditions.
"This collaboration with BAE Systems Australia reflects our ability to deliver tailored, high-quality solutions for complex and remote environments," McCormick said. "By integrating our services across these critical sites, we ensure operational continuity while supporting the Australian Defence Force."
Servicing these strategically significant radar installations is no small feat. Logistics involve coordinating flights, navigating off-road terrain, and maintaining vital resource supplies to ensure seamless, round-the-clock operation. Cushman & Wakefield will deploy around 30 skilled personnel, including electricians, HVAC technicians, and general hands, to maintain the high standards required for national defence assets.
This win further cements Cushman & Wakefield's role as a trusted partner for organisations operating at the frontlines of Australia's national interests.
