Cushman & Wakefield outstanding achievements recognized by CEEQA jury

24/06/2024

€1.5 billion in finalized transactions and the highest market share in the real estate capital market in CEE. These are just some of the successes of Cushman & Wakefield's team in 2023 that led to the award of the prestigious CEEQA Award in the Capital Markets Agent of The Year category, in Warsaw in May 2024. This success was driven by transactions executed in the Czech Republic, where completed the largest transaction in Central and Eastern Europe. Indeed the company awards were dominated by Cushman & Wakefield successes, our team in the CEE & SEE region also being named Agent of The Year and Property Management Company of the Year.

During the event gala, held in Warsaw on 15 May 2024, global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield was named Capital Markets Agent of the Year. This was in recognition of its exceptional performance, solidifying its place at the forefront of consulting agencies across the CEE & SEE region. The winners were selected by a jury panel comprised of 36 senior representatives and owners of regional and international market leaders in the sector. The jury evaluated overall performance, as well as contributions to the development of the real estate market in the region.

“Last year was undoubtedly an extraordinary one for the Capital Markets team at Cushman & Wakefield. We achieved the highest market share in the region, facilitating transactions that accounted for 35% of the total investment volume in Poland, and 60% in Czechia. In Hungary, we delivered the market’s largest transaction – whilst our firm played a role in every deal exceeding €100 million in Poland and three out of four such deals in Czechia. In total, Cushman & Wakefield participated in the finalization of transactions with a combined value exceeding €1.5 billion in CEE,” says Jeff Alson, International Partner and Head of Capital Market CEE at Cushman & Wakefield.

In 2023, Cushman & Wakefield noted a series of achievements in the CEE market. In the Czech Republic, Cushman & Wakefield completed the largest transaction of the year in Central and Eastern Europe with the sale of Arkády Pankrác. The firm also managed three of the largest retail deals, each individually exceeding €100 million, including Arkády Pankrác, Trei Portfolio and Atrium Palác Pardubice. In Prague's office market, significant transactions involved the Rohan Business Center and City Point. The deals in the Czech Republic surpassed a combined value of €760 million.

In Poland, the firm carried out the largest transaction of the year - NREP’s acquisition of a majority stake in 7R. It also secured the largest logistics deal of the year - with Campus 39, Panattoni Wrocław City III and Eurocash - and the largest retail transaction - the acquisition of Matarnia. Cushman & Wakefield further solidified its position as a market maker in Warsaw's office sector with deals including My Place II, Royal Trakt Offices, Wiśniowy Business Park C-F and Bolero Office Point II – exceeding a total volume of €100 million. The firm also facilitated the largest hotel deal of the year with the Warsaw Hub hotel. The company's active commitment finance origination and market innovation have led to the finalization of transactions totalling more than €700 million.

“The CEEQA Award is a testament to our exceptional performance and dedication. Our recent projects have exceeded expectations, setting new standards in the industry. We have successfully expanded our operations, achieving significant growth and increasing our market presence. Our track record of excellence, innovation and commitment to outstanding results demonstrates our capabilities. Last year's success was no fluke; it was the result of the hard work from the whole team and is something we plan to continue in the coming years,” adds Jeff Alson.

Since 2003, the aim of CEEQA has been to recognise and promote achievements in the CEE & SEE real estate markets. CEE Quality Awards are given in over 20 categories to outstanding companies, projects and industry professionals and are based on detailed criteria. The next CEEQA awards Gala is set for 21 May 2025.
