About Sacred Heart Community Service
Louise Benson founded Sacred Heart Community Service in 1964 to feed hungry families in her neighborhood. Today, providing essential services to individuals and families in need remains one of Sacred Heart’s core strategies. In 2008, Sacred Heart was selected by the State of California to be the Community Action Agency for Santa Clara County formalizing its role as a regional leader in developing solutions to poverty. The organization has also evolved into a respected and innovative provider of programs that assists families with achieving lifelong economic self-sufficiency.
Sacred Heart is planning a second location in downtown San Jose and is seeking monetary donations to fund the space for its essential services.

On March 16, Cushman & Wakefield’s NorCal Community Service Advisory Committee partnered with San Francisco Recreation and Park Department (SFRPD) for a horticultural restoration event. The team participated in a fun community service event at Mission Dolores Park. Volunteers weeded among the ornamental planter beds in the children's playground area to get ready for spring.

The mighty C&W volunteer restoration team was led by Denise Yee (Event Coordinator) together with Del Fuette, Stevenz Relos, Victoria Kardum, Jacqueline Rojas, Andrew Mendoza, and Joshua Padilla.

“It was a great feeling to give back to the community and help maintain the landscaping at this beautiful park.” – Denise Yee.

Cushman & Wakefield also assisted the SFRPD for a habitat restoration event at the Great Highway in Summer 2022, and encourages everyone to assist their communities in any way possible!
