Through our strategic and relationship management efforts, the shopping centre management was aware of Australia Post’s desire for improved premises in the newly refurbished centre. Once an opportunity became available, they reached out to Australia Post as a desirable destination brand.
Together with Australia Post, we prepared designs for the proposed new premises. Once the suitability was confirmed, Cushman & Wakefield was able to secure a significant landlord incentive that fully covered the cost of the new fit-out. We worked closely with the shopping centre to design an acceptable storefront and project timeline.
The new flagship store provides an improved tenancy size and layout for Australia Post, and a 17% reduction in rental rate also represents a significant long-term saving for the client.
