Office Using 2023

Still in 2022, in partnership with WeWork, the company brought the report Flexible Office is a powerful part of your workplace strategy, from the global perspective of occupants. 

This survey is an extension of Cushman & Wakefield’s Experience per Square FootTM (XSF), which gathered over six million data points from 125,000 people in their work experiences over the past five years. The report shows that while each company’s office workplace and portfolio strategies are unique, most leaders are confident their strategy will involve a mixof traditional offices, remote work and third-party spaces.

These matters certainly afflict decision makers about the occupation of workspaces, and Cushman & Wakefield revisited its global study in 2022 with the publication of Office of the future, three new realities shaping hybrid workplace strategies. This article showed three new realities with significant implications as organizations tested new workplace strategies:

  1. Demand for office spaces has increased
  2. The hybrid came to stay
  3. The role of the office has changed

The survey with WeWork shows that flexible offices are clearly a prominent, feasible and proven option in such an ecosystem. They have many of the same benefits as the traditional corporate office and, in some categories, can offer benefits that match the new hybrid approach that employers are testing and employees are looking for. The top three reasons employees recommend flexible office space are:

  1. The space feels like an extension of the office and traditional employee culture
  2. The space supports employee well-being
  3. The location offers the right technology and the right spaces to collaborate

From the insights of these global studies, and aiming to better understand the local reality, we carried out a survey with 154 leaders of
large companies in Brazil between October and November 2022 to present what will be the work model adopted by companies in the country.
