As Head of Residential Investment Germany, Jan-Bastian Knod is responsible for advising on the purchase and sale of traditional residential properties, forward deals, land with residential building rights and alternative forms of housing such as PBSA, senior living, co-living and micro-living. 

As Head of Healthcare Advisory, he also oversees the healthcare property asset class, in particular care properties, (rehabilitation) clinics, social properties and medical centres. 

Both teams are part of the Investment Advisory service, whose range of services includes purchase and sale advice for individual property and portfolio transactions, business plan consulting, the development of sales strategies and traditional transaction management. In addition to the central healthcare and residential portfolio teams in Frankfurt, Jan-Bastian is responsible for locally operating residential investment teams for the North, East, South, West and Central regions. 

As Sector Lead for Living, Jan-Bastian also brings together the services of Project & Development Services, Valuation and Capital Markets & Investment Advisory under one roof. At EMEA level, he acts as Co-Lead for Healthcare Capital Markets.

Jan-Bastian joined Cushman & Wakefield in early 2017. Prior to that, he worked at CBRE in the Portfolio Investment & Investment Advisory division and at various companies in the real estate, finance and management consulting sectors. He completed his academic career with an M.Sc. from RWTH Aachen University.
