With more than 12 years of experience in real estate and finance, Jason Zhang is a bilingual professional specializing in cross-border investment. He currently serves as the Head of Greater China Outbound Investment for Cushman & Wakefield, managing outbound client relationships in the region as well as facilitating transactions together with global offices. He has assisted in transactions valued at more than $1 billion in the past four years with Greater China-based investors, both in developed markets such as the U.S., UK and Australia, as well as in Belt and Road regions. Transactions have included Hong Kong based Link REIT’s first London acquisition in the form of The Cabot, a GBP370 million office property in Canary Wharf, during the COVID-19 global pandemic period.

Before joining Cushman & Wakefield, he served as the Senior Director of the Asia Pacific investment group for Fosun Property, the real estate investment and management arm of Fosun Group, one of the largest private owned conglomerates in China. As one of the earliest team members starting the overseas real estate investment business for Fosun, Jason covered North America, Australia, and South East Asia, with responsibilities including local business development and team building, deal sourcing, evaluation and execution, and management of assets and local offices.

Prior to Fosun, Jason worked for a NYSE listed Chinese real estate developer as Director of Overseas Investment, participating in the evaluation, negotiation, and acquisition of development and investment projects in the U.S. In this role he completed three acquisitions with a total investment value of more than $200 million, and GFA of more than 400,000 sq ft, including the first major residential development project in New York by a Chinese developer.

He also previously worked for Merrill Lynch and UBS as a private banker in Hong Kong, managing overseas asset of more than $50 million for high-net-worth China individuals.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a native of Shanghai with more than 10 years of experience living abroad.
