Future Of Offices : What’s Next For Workplace Design? FUTURE OF OFFICES

Future Of Offices

What's Next For Workplace Design?

ABOUT

The office sector is changing. Hybrid working is now embedded within the culture of most organisations and the form and function of the office is now being re-imagined by both Occupiers and Investors.

Our expert speakers considered the data behind changing workplace needs, how interior design is responding to deliver the next generation of office space and what this means for the office market.

Highlights from the broadcast:

  • Ben Cullen outlined that offices will need to deliver benefits to occupiers and workers that they can’t find anywhere else. "Think …connection to colleagues, learning, innovation, serendipitous encounters, perhaps even happiness!"
  • Nicola Gillen concluded that the successful workplace of the future wont look to compete on productivity, but instead focus on inspiration and experience. How this plays out will have a marked impact on the Future of our Cities.
  • Colin Macgadie of BDG Architecture + Design explained how the workplace of the future will be a vehicle for driving social purpose and value, becoming a physical manifestation of a corporate’s brand. Expect an environment where people can seamlessly navigate between the physical and virtual world.
  • Daryl Perry provided C&W’s predictions for the office market in the UK and Ireland. It's clear we’re in for a bumpy 2023, but if investors and occupiers are to successfully respond to structural change, then they must take a long-term view.
