Cushman & Wakefield’s Mobley promoted to Chief Executive Officer Americas

11/30/2017
Cushman & Wakefield today announced a series of promotions, designed to elevate top talent and support the firm’s clients. Shawn P. Mobley has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer Americas; John Forrester to Global President; and Michelle Hay to Global Head of Human Resources.

“Each of these professionals is a leader, not only at Cushman & Wakefield, but also within our industry. I’m fully confident in their abilities to deliver the very best results for our clients, while putting our people at the center of fulfilling careers,” said Brett White, Chairman & CEO of Cushman & Wakefield. “Their commitment, drive, and dedication to our people and to our clients is essential to our continued success.”

Mobley, based in Chicago, led the firm’s East Region, the largest, fastest growing segment of the firm including a leading role in executing six acquisitions in the last two years. He joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2011, taking on positions of increasing responsibility from Market Leader of Chicago, to forming and leading the Investor Services Group, to his most recent position as President of the East Region with oversight of the Eastern United States and Canada.

“My mandate is clear, continue to organize around our clients, putting the best teams in place to consistently deliver outstanding results,” said Mobley. “This is a tremendous opportunity and I couldn’t be more excited to continue building our momentum across the Americas.”

As Global President Forrester will have day-to-day operational and management oversight of the firm’s four global regions of the Americas, EMEA and APAC. He will also be responsible for developing the firm’s range of services to satisfy clients’ evolving needs. The global role, working closely with CEO Brett White, will be based in London. Pre-merger, Forrester served as Chief Executive EMEA at DTZ, which he joined in 1988. He also acted as Group Chief Executive of DTZ Holdings PLC and led the formal sale process of DTZ PLC to UGL in 2011.

“It is an honor to take on this role. We are a very different organization to the one we were at merger and as we’ve grown we’ve remained entrepreneurial and action-orientated. That’s important as the industry is changing fast. We must lead that charge while maintaining our constant focus on providing the best advice to our clients in every major market and service line around the world,” said Forrester.

Hay has been named Global Head of Human Resources, and will continue to lead in the Americas. In this critical role, Hay will drive strategy on core functions including talent management, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, and HR operations. Since joining the firm as CHRO, Americas last year, Hay has been a core part of the firm’s leadership team, driving Cushman & Wakefield’s talent strategy. Hay will also be a key member of the global executive management team.

“Our business is built on the strength of our people – so recruiting, developing, and retaining the right talent, that reflects a diverse and inclusive business community, is crucial to our ongoing success,” said Hay. “I’m proud of the progress we’ve made and I look forward to accelerating those advances in this expanded role.”

Tod Lickerman has decided to leave the company to pursue other career interests. The firm is thankful for his contribution to the business.
