Pompano Beach, FL – May 20, 2025 – Cushman & Wakefield announced today that the real estate services firm has been retained on an exclusive basis to market for sale the family owned and operated Beachcomber Resort & Club, a premier 5.08-acre beachfront redevelopment site located at 1200 S. Ocean Boulevard in Pompano Beach, Florida, part of the Greater Fort Lauderdale area.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Robert Kaplan, Errol Blumer and Mark Rutherford are leading marketing efforts on behalf of the seller.
“Beachcomber is the largest oceanfront development site currently being marketed for sale in South Florida,” said Kaplan. “With 300 feet of beach frontage and a central location providing easy access to all of South Florida’s world class amenities, the property has all of the attributes to make it highly desirable for a new ultra-luxury condominium or hospitality development project.”
The site comprises 3.38 acres directly on the sand and an additional 1.70 acres between A1A and the Intracoastal Waterway.
While the property is listed for sale without an asking price, offers are expected to be in excess of $175 million, and the seller is willing to provide the buyer time to arrange site plan approval prior to closing on the acquisition.
The oceanfront in Pompano Beach is South Florida’s newest ultra-luxury residential development hub with new condominium development projects carrying the Ritz-Carlton, Waldorf Astoria, and Armani Casa brands, and a Rosewood branded residence in nearby Hillsboro Beach. Beachcomber is in the exclusive, high-end southern portion of the city outside of the busy commercial district, but with quick access to the city’s attractive features, US-1, Interstate 95 and the Florida Turnpike, as well as multiple airports catering to private aircraft, including the Pompano Beach Airpark less than three miles away.
