Ryan Rutherford, Director of Brokerage leads the Calgary Advisory business and provides strategic leadership and oversight across the brokerage team, fostering collaboration and driving performance in alignment with client objectives and market opportunities.
In addition to his leadership role, Ryan is Vice President, specializing in retail and working alongside Nick Preston. Ryan is a proven leader in his field, bringing over 15 years of experience in leasing, construction, and finance and has played an integral role in many of Alberta’s most successful retail developments. Ryan’s expertise spans the entire development process—from initial planning and marketing to lease-up and project completion. He has also advised numerous groups on the redevelopment and repositioning of existing retail centres and is responsible for the project leasing of several key developments in Calgary and across Alberta.
Ryan’s team has completed a high volume of transactions with both local and multinational clients, including pre-leasing for developments, agency leasing, and tenant representation. He is a regular contributor and panelist at the Calgary Real Estate Forum and NAIOP Market Updates.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Ryan is the Chair of the Cushman & Wakefield Charity Golf Tournament and a former Board Member and Membership Chair with the Urban Land Institute Alberta Chapter.
