Cosgrove has acquired the commercial property at 768-772 Gympie Road, Lawnton, from JVL in a transaction valued at $13.5 million. The sale, which is scheduled to settle in December 2025, involves a well-positioned vacant site within Brisbane’s northern corridor.
The property consists of a 5,682 sqm office and warehouse facility on a 1.44-hectare site, offering 141 metres of frontage to Gympie Road and includes 164 car parking spaces and is zoned within a local centre precinct, permitting a variety of commercial uses.
With a proven and long-standing track record as a retail showroom location, this is the first time the high-profile site has been brought to market. Situated on a prominent corner next to Dulux and Wheelhouse Coffee, it is in immediate proximity to other national retailers such as Bunnings, BCF, Rebel Sport, Autobarn and Petbarn.
According to Morgan Ruig, Director and Head of Brokerage Logistics & Industrial – Queensland at Cushman & Wakefield, who sold the site alongside colleagues Mitch Taulelei and Myles Fredericksen “The site was sold to an investor who plans to refurbish and reposition the property once it becomes vacant in December.”
Mr Ruig went on to say the location, adjacent to national retailers including Bunnings, Rebel Sport, and Petbarn, has a long-standing history as a retail showroom precinct, and is expected to remain a focal point for commercial activity in the region.
