About
Shaping strategy for complex real-asset and infrastructure decisions
With more than two decades of work across real estate development, infrastructure and funds management, Alan advises on complex programs where commercial structure, investment decisions and delivery outcomes must align. His experience spans Australia, the UK and Southeast Asia, supporting government, not-for-profit and private-sector leaders on initiatives shaped by long-term funding considerations, delivery risk and governance complexity.
At Cushman & Wakefield, Alan leads strategic advisory work across precincts, portfolios and large-scale development and infrastructure projects. While his background includes social and living-sector assets, he is particularly known for shaping public-private joint ventures and commercial approaches that unlock development value alongside major infrastructure investment, including rail, transit and intermodal projects. In these environments, his strength lies in applying financial discipline and practical commercial insight to help public objectives and private-sector delivery align in practice.
Alongside major project and transaction advisory, Alan plays a leading role in strategic asset management work, helping organisations executives align long-term goals with property decisions over time. He has overseen more than $800 million in funds under management across alternative sectors, bringing a practical understanding of how commercial structures perform in complex environments. His advisory work draws on commercial analysis, financial structuring and stakeholder insight to align complex mandates with an organisation’s future direction. Alan also serves on the board of Aboriginal Housing Victoria, supporting the growth and governance of one of Australia’s largest Indigenous housing provider.
