Based in Chicago, General Counsel Brett Soloway oversees Cushman & Wakefield’s global legal matters and has served in such capacity since 2014. Brett plays a critical role in developing and implementing governance and risk management practices for the company. He is responsible for developing and leading corporate legal strategy and providing counsel on a wide range of areas, including regulatory compliance, transactions, risk management, employment law and litigation.
Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Brett led a team for The Home Depot, Inc. that was responsible for all legal matters relating to new store and distribution center development, operations, and property management activities in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, China and India. Earlier in his career, Brett served as Vice President and General Counsel for Red Seal Development, Inc., and practiced law at Kirkland & Ellis and Rudnick & Wolfe. He received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from the University of Illinois.
