An iconic Sydney office asset at 85 Harrington Street, The Rocks has been sold to a prominent national law firm, marking a significant transaction in the Sydney CBD market.
Representing Golden Age Group and Hannas, Cushman & Wakefield’s George Davies, Oliver Hay and Jack Harrison in conjunction with JLL’s Willem Watson and Harry Borger successfully managed the sale of the landmark office located within the highly regarded ‘The Harrington Collection’ - a premium mixed-use development comprising 58 luxury residences with views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Opera House, and Circular Quay.
The 1,021sqm office floor occupies the entire first level of the development and was presented fully fitted to an incredibly high standard, reflective of the exceptional quality delivered by the developers. The campaign generated strong market interest, attracting five competitive offers from both local and interstate buyers.
The successful purchaser has now secured the space as their new Sydney headquarters, following Cushman & Wakefield’s recent role in assisting the same law firm with the acquisition of their Melbourne office.
While the final sale price remains undisclosed, this result highlights continued demand for premium, turn-key office assets in Sydney’s tightly held CBD fringe.
Looking ahead, Cushman & Wakefield and IB Group will be bringing the retail component of The Harrington Collection to market later this year, presenting another rare opportunity in this prestigious harbourside precinct.
