Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Hutch Bykerk as Head of Project & Development Services (PDS), Australia, strengthening the firm’s project management and development advisory capabilities across the Australian market.

Mr Bykerk joins Cushman & Wakefield from Solutions Consulting Australia, where he spent the past nine years managing complex construction and development projects for major clients including Charter Hall, BLUM Australia, AMP Services and Western Sydney University, among others.

Earlier in his career, Mr Bykerk worked with Leighton Properties, contributing to the delivery of large-scale commercial, residential and mixed-use developments across the built environment. He also spent time at JLL, where he delivered advisory and project management services to both local and multinational organisations across the commercial real estate sector.

His extensive experience across development, advisory and project delivery provides a strong platform to further expand Cushman & Wakefield’s PDS offering across Australia.

Todd Hanrahan, Head of Project & Development Services (PDS), Australia & New Zealand, said “Hutch brings a strong blend of development insight, project leadership and client advisory experience.
“His understanding of the Australian market and proven ability to guide major projects from concept through delivery will further strengthen our PDS capability as we continue to grow the business nationally.”

Mr Bykerk said he was excited to join Cushman & Wakefield and work alongside the broader PDS team across the region.
“Cushman & Wakefield has built an impressive project delivery platform across Australia and New Zealand, supported by deep client relationships and a highly collaborative team.

“I’m excited to join the business and work with our clients to help bring ambitious developments to life and deliver projects that shape the future of our cities.”

Mr Bykerk’s appointment reflects Cushman & Wakefield’s continued investment in strengthening its project and development services capability across Australia, supporting clients across commercial real estate, infrastructure and emerging built environment sectors.
