01 THE CHALLENGE
Jaguar Land Rover Australia was in need of potential developers to purpose-build a suitable facility.
The initial location brief was for a standalone office, and training academy in the North Shore in Sydney.
Upon analysis, the team at Cushman & Wakefield concluded that the location was not a viable option.
We gauged instead that the client was better positioned within an affluent area, close to key dealerships. Our team’s biggest challenge was acquiring land of such a scale in a good location.
02 THE SOLUTION
The advisory service team at Cushman & Wakefield started by collaborating with estate agents, landlords, and developers. The main task was to source suitable site locations and building opportunities.
An in-depth DCF analysis was prepared, which compared the pros and cons of all the shortlisted options. Both financial and operational perspectives were thoroughly considered.
Some other elements our team took into account included council zoning restrictions, location sourcing, as well as car parking ratios.
03 THE RESULT
Cushman & Wakefield managed to identify a suitable site for Jaguar Land Rover to build its facility.
