Anneke van Mierlo is an experienced real estate professional within Asset Services at Cushman & Wakefield. Based in Utrecht, she advises property owners and institutional investors on optimising their retail real estate portfolios and creating long-term value.

With more than 25 years of experience in property management, Anneke has extensive expertise in the commercial management of shopping centres and retail assets. She supports clients in improving asset performance, optimising occupancy levels, and strengthening relationships with tenants and other stakeholders. In doing so, she combines in-depth market knowledge with a pragmatic and results-driven approach.

Anneke helps clients respond effectively to changing market conditions, evolving consumer behaviour, and increasing demands for future-proof real estate. Her focus is on creating attractive and high-performing retail environments that enhance both investment returns and the experience of tenants and visitors.

My Team

Depending on the size and complexity of a real estate portfolio, a multidisciplinary team of specialists from across Asset Services is assembled. In her role, Anneke is responsible for the commercial management of the portfolio and the coordination of services delivered to clients.

By working closely with specialists in property accounting, technical management, and commercial management, the team ensures the efficient delivery of services, transparent communication, and consistently high service standards. The focus is on creating sustainable value for both property owners and occupiers.

Community Involvement

Through Cushman & Wakefield, Anneke is actively involved with JINC, an organisation dedicated to creating equal opportunities for young people. As a volunteer, she participates in a range of initiatives that help children and young adults discover their talents and prepare for the labour market.

Anneke participates in several annual JINC Language Trips, where students develop their language and communication skills by exploring the world around them in an interactive way. She also supports secondary school students during work experience programmes, introducing them to the real estate industry and the diverse career opportunities within the sector.
