De Vyzel gets a make-over
01:
The Opportunity
With its location in the center of Amsterdam, De Vyzel has always been a desirable office location. However, recently vacancy has arisen. We therefore set the ambition to transform the building into a high-quality office building in terms of appearance, use and functionality. In addition to the functional and aesthetic adjustments to the building, it was decided to upgrade the building to energy label A, but also to make the building gas free.

02:
The solution
To make the entrance more welcoming, we made the access more visible from the street side. We did this by bringing the entrance door closer to the street and making it lighter and more transparent. Once inside, the entrance hall has been widened and provided with a new and much lighter interior.
03:
The Result
The biggest challenge in this project was upgrading the facade. The window frames in the building are very typical for the look and feel of De Vyzel. That’s why we kept them but in a modernized way. We have equipped them with HR++ glass so that they contri-bute to the sustainability of the building.
