Anthony Dixon_webcard.jpgLondon, 1 July 2024 – Global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Anthony Dixon as Head of Living Land and Development.

Dixon joins from independent property consultancy Allsop, where he spent the last 14 years in the Residential Transactional and Living Markets team providing disposal, acquisition, and development advice to a wide range of clients.

At Cushman & Wakefield, Dixon will lead development and land transactions, and advise clients across the Living sectors, including all tenures of residential, senior living, PBSA and co-living. He will report to David Haynes, Head of UK Specialist Markets and work alongside Head of Living, Charles Whitworth, as well as Paul Wickenden, Jim Cooper, and Declan Pope in the Living Land and Development team.

David Haynes, Head of Specialist Markets UK at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “Our continued investment into our Living offering enables us to support the growing number of developers and investors focused on residential opportunities as a viable route to capital growth. Anthony is a highly accomplished specialist who joins at a time of significant expansion, both within the Living team at Cushman & Wakefield, as well as the wider sector as a whole. Anthony will work with our teams supporting clients on the repurposing of assets and help clients dispose of land and buildings to capitalise on the strength of the Living sector. The UK Living sector is set to enjoy sustained growth over the next five years and Anthony joins a strong team delivering value-adding advice and insight to our clients.”

Anthony Dixon, Head of Living Land and Development at Cushman & Wakefield said: “I am thrilled to join Cushman & Wakefield’s Living team. The firm has an outstanding reputation globally, and I look forward to collaborating with my talented colleagues across the country to deliver exceptional advice and results for our clients.”

As part of its ongoing Living sector expansion, Cushman & Wakefield recently announced the appointments of Mike Gorman, who joins later in the year to lead Residential Capital Markets activity across the UK’s core regional markets, and Jack Wagner as an Associate in the Residential Capital Markets team. Emily Fox and John Freker have also joined as Partners in Residential Valuation & Advisory and Student Accommodation investment, respectively.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Living teams operate across BTR, PRS, Student Accommodation, Senior Living and the wider residential and land markets providing a range of capital markets, valuation and advisory, consultancy and development services. Drawing on advanced data and analytical tools, proprietary research and insight, and in-depth market knowledge, they deliver holistic advice, transactions, and solutions to investors, developers, operators, landowners, and local authorities.

A recent Cushman & Wakefield report – The Shape of Real Estate – quantifying the spatial requirements for UK real estate to 2040 identified PRS, Purpose Built Student Accommodation, and Seniors Housing as set to be among the top 10 fastest growing sectors over this period, with the latter requiring the greatest increase overall in percentage terms.
