Cushman & Wakefield is Veteran Ready. Your transition is our mission.

Veterans at Cushman & Wakefield will find challenging and rewarding work directly related to their skills and talents. Veterans hold positions throughout our organization, from our executive leadership to the front line.

We are actively partnering with Hiring Our Heroes and the Corporate Fellowship Program which provides veterans, transitioning service members and military spouses with training and hands -on experience in the civilian workforce. This includes 12 weeks of onsite training and exposure to our service lines with the ultimate goal resulting in full-time employment.

Tony was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army Infantry and progressed through the ranks to retire as a Major. He was originally stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia, with the 3rd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment and ended his Military career at Fort Richardson, Alaska, where he was part of the 501st Airborne Infantry Regiment.

During his military service, Corporal Tom Dowd received three Certificates of Commendation: one as Section Leader for 60mm mortar section during live fire exercises in Bridgeport, CA; one as Section Leader for 60mm mortar section during Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm; and one as Company Clerk during cold weather training in Bridgeport, CA, Norway and Korea. The military also recognized him as Meritorious Lance Corporal and Marine of the Division.

He became a commissioned officer August 21, 2008 and retired Sep 1, 2018. During his time as an officer, he was promoted twice from the rank of Second Lieutenant to Captain.

Operation Finally Home
Cushman & Wakefield is proud of our partnership with Operation Finally Home, a charitable group providing homes and modifications for America’s military Heroes and the widows of the fallen who have sacrificed so much to defend our freedoms and values. This year, we participated in the fundraising and building of a home for Lt. Garrett Spears and his family in San Antonio, Texas. The videos below tell the progression of that story.
