HOUSTON, January 6, 2026 – Cushman & Wakefield announced today that firm represented Taste Kitchen + Bar in securing its second Houston-area location at 1550 Lake Pointe Parkway in Sugar Land. The new restaurant, which specializes in refined Southern comfort food, opened December 10.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Michael Pittman II, CCIM, and Jeremy J. Harris represented Taste Kitchen + Bar in securing the 6,500-square-foot space with lakefront views. Jazz Hamilton of CBRE represented landlord Brixmor Property Group.
The new Taste Kitchen + Bar location features a lakefront patio and a private dining room that will host family celebrations, corporate events, and other gatherings. It is located on a pad site at Lake Pointe Village, a 162,263-square-foot, Whole Foods-anchored neighborhood shopping center. More than 70 employees have been hired for the new Sugar Land location.
Taste Kitchen + Bar also operates a Downtown Houston restaurant and is seeking to expand in Houston suburbs such as The Woodlands, Humble, Spring and Kingwood, as well as opportunities outside the Houston MSA
“Sugar Land and Lake Pointe Village represent the ideal setting for the next step in our growth,” said Don Bowie, Taste founder and chef. “This expansion allows us to share the flavors and experiences our guests enjoy downtown with a new audience, beautiful waterfront views, and a signature space designed for both everyday dining and memorable occasions.”
Added Pittman, Cushman & Wakefield Director, “Houston’s food and restaurant scene have emerged as a national and global leader in both world cuisines and the classics, like Taste Kitchen + Bar’s refined southern culinary experience. This is in tandem with an overall resurgence in Houston retail, with consistent strength in grocery-anchored retail and high-end suburban corridors like Sugar Land and a reimagining of more vintage properties. Taste has had great success with their Downtown Houston unit exceeding $10M in annual revenue, and we’re excited to assist Chef Bowie and his team on rolling out additional locations in the near term in the Houston MSA as well as opportunistic opportunities outside of the Houston market.”
