Commencing his career in a regional city, James was given the opportunity to move to Sydney and very quickly specialised in representing occupiers. Working initially in Portfolio Management, his background provides excellent insight into the implication of key lease terms and their impact to the occupier over their lease lifecycle. James takes these lessons and ensures each client gains a wholistic benefit in the negotiation, not just headline financial outcomes.

James represented major industrial, commercial and infrastructure clients nationally before focusing of Commercial occupiers. In his last major appointment James was responsible for the strategic portfolio review of one of Australia’s oldest financial institutions which resulted in the rationalization and disposal of an office footprint in excess of 60,000sqm nationally, including managing the disposal of over 15,000sqm of space in Australia’s most expensive office tower.
