Andrew Fray
Head of EMEA Data Centres • United Kingdom
As International Partner, Andrew Fray is Head of the EMEA Data Centre Advisory Team, advising clients on land/buildings acquisition and sale, colocation, valuation and many strategic and practical aspects of the data centre industry.
Andrew is a highly experienced data centre professional, who is passionate about bringing change to the industry, while also meeting client expectations for the highest levels of service.
He has had a long and varied carrier in telecommunications, IT and data centres, having worked in senior positions for Interxion as UK Managing Director and Telehouse (owned by KDDI) as a Main Board Director. In these roles his focus has been the role data centres play in supporting ecommerce and digital transformation in service of both customers and suppliers.
Andrew has served on the TechUK Data Centre Council and contributed to government policy on managing the UK’s mission critical infrastructure during the pandemic and also as a Board Member of the Tech London Advocates 5G Special Interest Group.
He is passionate about sustainability and sees much to be improved in the data centre sector, given its huge consumption of electricity, as well as the imbedded carbon contained in the construction, or refit of data centre buildings.
Andrew leads a team of outstanding data centre professionals and draws upon colleagues from the wider Global Occupier Services, local Cushman & Wakefield brokerages and other service lines.
Andrew’s clients range from hyperscale cloud service providers, data centre owner-operators, broadcasters and media platforms, as well as Fortune 500 enterprise clients, all of whom require advisory services related to their data centres. He is working on projects in many locations across EMEA.
