Mr. Michel joined Cushman & Wakefield of Connecticut, Inc., in January of 1984 as Coordinator of Market Research Department.

In July of 1985, Mr. Michel joined the Valuation & Advisory group as an Associate and has since been promoted to Associate Director, Director, Senior Director and more recently Managing Director in June 2008. In April 1996 Mr. Michel, was awarded the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute.

In his role as Senior Managing Director, Eric is responsible for the management of the Stamford, Connecticut, office with geographical responsibilities for all of Connecticut and Westchester County, NY. More recently Mr. Michel been involved in tax consulting and providing a liaison between corporate clients and Cushman & Wakefield’s field personnel. During the past eight years, he participated in tax assignments that have delivered in excess of $5.0 million in total tax savings to C&W tax clients.

Mr. Michel has been involved in the appraisal of income producing properties in the northeastern United States and more specifically throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut region. Mr. Michel has been involved in many high end residential estate valuations in the lower Fairfield County Market.

He is also the part of the Valuation & Advisory Agribusiness, Energy & Natural Resources Practice Group, specializing in the valuation of rock/aggregate quarries, asphalt plants, concrete plants, sand and gravel pits and mining operations. Geographically, Mr. Michel has valued quarries and mining operations throughout the United States. Work scope includes going concern values, valuation of mineral reserves, demographic analysis, feasibility studies, tax appeals, market surveys and investment analysis.
