Mr. Baijal has a diversified origination, underwriting and advisory background and a core part of the agency underwriting team in Atlanta. Over the last 10 years, Mr. Baijal specialized and has been part of an agency client having an extensive experience in detail underwriting and valuation of multifamily properties. He has also managed assignments involving U.S. CRE loan originations, financial modeling, full-service underwriting, lease abstraction, Argus modelling/update and other due diligence support services. He has spent much of his direct exposure running large portfolios with valuations up to $1.0 bn.
Mr. Baijal also served as the primary point of contact for the V&A-DAG India for managing the day-to-day operations/ P&L, hiring and providing due diligence and underwriting support to the U.S. Diligence Advisory Group. With a finance background, he has over 17 years of commercial real estate experience in various asset classes, including but not limited to multifamily, commercial, and other asset classes.
Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Baijal worked with Ernst & Young (EY) leading and growing the U.S. Transaction Real Estate practice involved in variety of real estate valuation engagements including, but not limited to, Channel 1 Fair Value Review, Channel 2 support, and CMBS due diligence support. Prior to EY, Mr. Baijal worked at BlackRock, India spearheading the India operations for their Commercial Real Estate (CRE) underwriting group. He has supported on assignments involving CRE origination and full-service underwriting across various asset classes, credit memos, and data tapes used for securitization.
