Joel T. Schur is a Project Director in Cushman & Wakefield’s Project Development Services group. Joel’s primary responsibility is to direct and lead design, construction, and implementation activities in the Boston office for the New England Region. Joel brings more than 25 years of practical expertise in corporate real estate and construction.

As a corporate real estate executive, he has extensive experience in program management, planning, design, construction and fiscal management. He has led multiple strategic and project planning initiatives ranging from $6 to $22 million, with a wide range of small to large scale projects totaling over twelve million square feet.

Prior to joining Cushman and Wakefield, Joel led the Design and Construction Consulting Services component in the Boston office for The Staubach Company focused on Tenant representation and subsequently continued that same role at Jones Lang LaSalle as part of their PDS group. He also served as a Director of Facility Planning and Strategy for Bank of America—specifically its legacy company, Fleet Boston Financial—serving non-bank subsidiaries on a national level.

From experience as a Relationship Manager Joel advises business executives in the effective development and support of the workplace; responsible for developing, formulating and aligning business objectives with corporate workplace, cultural, and operational objectives. Joel’s assignments include leading teams and conducting project work in a wide range of emerging industries, and includes experience in managing real estate portfolios. His career also includes having worked for Digital Equipment Corporation where he had direct responsibility for administering, planning, designing and implementing a variety of engineering, manufacturing, and R&D spaces, with formative focus of dynamic corporate development and change.

Joel’s educational background includes Boston Architectural College and Clark University. Joel and his wife reside in Sterling, Massachusetts
