About
Mark Gilbert serves as Vice Chair and Leader of Cushman & Wakefield’s Retail Capital Markets across the Americas, with a particular emphasis on retail properties across the country via collaboration with 11 key markets across with a team of 22+ capital market producers and 24+ dedicated support. As part of Mark’s leadership, he also plays a role in the strategic growth of the firm’s retail STNL and private capital investment sales business.
Since joining Cushman & Wakefield in 1997, Mark brings nearly thirty years of experience in commercial real estate investment advisory and capital markets transactions. Mark has completed over 750 real estate sales and financings valued at more than $8.75 billion over the course of his career at C&W for major corporate, institutional, and entrepreneurial owners.
Before his tenure at Cushman & Wakefield, Mark co-founded and held the roles of President and Principal at Venturvest Realty Corporation (“Venturvest”), a regional real estate services firm with offices throughout Florida. In this position, he managed a portfolio exceeding four million square feet and successfully completed nearly $1 billion in disposition, financing, and leasing transactions between 1992 and 1997. In 2021, Mark briefly departed C&W to become CEO of ShopCore Properties, returning in May 2022 to reunite with his longstanding partners, Adam Feinstein and Mitchell Halpern, with whom he has collaborated for nearly thirty years.
