He began his real estate career in 1985, when he worked in CB Commercial’s Summer Internship Program. In 1987, after graduating from the University of Texas, he began working for Affiliated Realty, a Houston based full service real estate management, leasing and brokerage firm. Subsequently from 1989 through 2000, he worked as an Associate Appraiser at Gary Brown & Associates, Inc., a Houston based firm providing real estate valuation consulting services where he was top producer in 1999 and 2000.

Appraisal and consulting assignments have included shopping centers and freestanding retail facilities, auto dealerships, multi-tenant and owner occupied office buildings and industrial facilities, multi-family properties, feasibility and market studies, vacant land, hotel/motel valuations, special use properties, net leased assets, and residential subdivisions primarily throughout Texas and Louisiana. Mr. Gentry specializes in industrial and retail valuations and is a member of Cushman and Wakefield’s Valuation & Advisory Retail Specialty Group.
