About

Michael Gerendasy MAI has completed appraisal and consulting assignments on a wide range of commercial assets since 1986 involving office buildings, shopping centers, apartment complexes, industrial buildings, mixed-use properties, hotels, vacant land, manufactured housing communities, and various special-purpose properties. Michael has focused on litigation support assignments in property tax appeal, condemnations, marital dissolution and partnership disputes, bankruptcies, and estate matters.

Michael’s primary asset focus has been office, multi-family residential, real estate-oriented businesses, and vacant land sites and acreage.

Michael joined the appraisal profession in 1986 as a staff appraiser at Arthur Gimmy International in San Francisco California, where he appraised for thirteen years, except for three years in retail brokerage, before returning to Michigan. After earning an MBA at the University of Michigan and prior to joining the appraisal profession, Michael worked in asset management for three years at Consolidated Capital in Emeryville, CA (assisting in the management of a nation-wide portfolio of apartment communities) and one year at Grubb & Ellis headquarters in San Francisco, CA (managing an office building portfolio and liquidating a mortgage portfolio).
