Michael Katcher is an Executive Director in the Brokerage Services Group in C&W's Washington, DC office, where he has been involved in more than 9 million square feet of real estate transactions. Mr. Katcher joined C&W in 1991 and managed the Mid-Atlantic Region Research Group prior to entering brokerage. In this role, he supervised six staff members and controlled research data covering 200 million square feet of property, and supported the Institutional Accounts Group on major Washington, DC assignments. In 1996, Mr. Katcher transitioned his career from the Research Group into the Brokerage Services Group to work in a partnership with a Vice Chairman of the company. Since making this transition, he has been involved in significant tenant representation assignments in the Washington, DC area.
Awards & Associations
In 2004, Mr. Katcher was recognized by the Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors (GWCAR) as the No. 4 leasing broker in Northern Virginia and one of the Top 10 leasing brokers in the entire metropolitan Washington, DC region. He was also a member of the brokerage team receiving GWCAR’s Northern Virginia Leasing Transaction of the Year. In 2001, he achieved similar recognition from GWCAR as the No. 7 leasing broker in Washington, DC and as a member of the team receiving the Washington, DC Leasing Transaction of the Year Award. Mr. Katcher received the Mid-Atlantic C&W Brokerage Service Excellence Award in 1997, 2000, 2003 and 2006. He also received the National Service Excellence Award in 2000 for outstanding achievement in the pursuit of business performance excellence and total client satisfaction. In 2011, Mr. Katcher was awarded The Virtus Award which is given for extraordinary teamwork and collaboration.
