Michael J. Malinowski began his real estate career in 2002 as a licensed real estate salesperson focusing on residential rental property in Boston, Massachusetts. He joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2004 and focused on the analysis and valuation of commercial real estate in the New York Metropolitan Area and Upstate New York.

In May 2010, Mr. Malinowski joined a boutique real estate valuation and consulting firm where he was instrumental in many of the firm’s most complex assignments. Mr. Malinowski was awarded the MAI designation by the Appraisal Institute in April 2012 and returned to Cushman & Wakefield in March 2015.

Mr. Malinowski has provided real estate valuation and counseling services on a variety of commercial, industrial and residential property types, including freestanding retail, shopping centers, and regional and super regional malls; headquarters facilities/campuses, institutional/government and public buildings, and professional and medical office buildings; multifamily properties and residential homes; distribution centers, truck terminals, and flex, manufacturing, R&D, warehouse and self-storage facilities; air-rights, ground leases, and vacant land; and adaptive-reuse, redevelopment and rehabilitation projects. His experience also includes developing feasibility, PILOT, and fiscal impact studies.

He has served institutional, government, legal, private, and corporate clients, in connection with acquisition and disposition, condemnation, development, estate planning and gifting, financial reporting, insurance claims, investment, litigation, market financing and atypical funding, portfolio management, redevelopment and tax appeals.
