Mr. Seetin began his career with Cushman & Wakefield of Washington, D.C., Valuation & Advisory, in June of 2001 as an Associate Appraiser. In June of 2006 he was promoted to Associate Director, and in December of 2009 he was promoted to Director and in April of 2012 he was promoted to Senior Director. Since joining Cushman & Wakefield’s Valuation & Advisory group, Mr. Seetin has performed appraisal and consulting assignments in over six states across the country.
Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, he was Research Manager/Consultant at The Meyers Group from March 1999 to June 2001. In his role, he conducted project and site feasibility studies of residential real estate throughout the Metro Washington D.C. and Baltimore areas for large scale production home builders and developers. He also analyzed the market trends and consulted clients on product and market viability. From September 1996 to March 1999, Mr. Seetin was employed as a Senior Research Analyst by CoStar Group, Inc. f/k/a Comps.com. In this capacity, he conducted studies of commercial real estate sales throughout the Midwest and East Coast regions, collecting and analyzing sales data and producing monthly reports for the commercial real estate industry. From March 1993 to September 1996 he was a Staff Appraiser with Accuval Associates and appraised commercial real estate and machinery and equipment throughout the United States.
Valuation assignments completed include appraisals of automobile dealerships and auto-related uses (car washes, convenience stores, vehicle service/repair), commercial & industrial land, community & neighborhood shopping centers, industrial and flex buildings, office buildings, mixed-use & lifestyle centers, movie theaters, multi-family properties, power centers, real estate tax consulting, regional and super regional malls, residential subdivision analysis, self storage facilities and special purpose facilities.
He is a member of Cushman & Wakefield’s Self Storage, Automobile Dealership, and Gas Station and Convenience Stores specialty practice groups and has appraised over 350 existing and proposed self storage facilities, over 500 existing and proposed automobile dealerships, over 200 gas stations/c-stores, and over 125 auto-related uses in four states.
