About
Daniel J. Sydor, MAI is an Executive Director within the Valuation & Advisory group of Cushman & Wakefield Western, Inc. Mr. Sydor is based in the Orange County Valuation & Advisory office and is a member of the division’s Retail Practice Group and Infrastructure Practice Group. While experienced in appraising all major property types of commercial real estate, Mr. Sydor focuses on the appraisal of retail-oriented commercial real estate and right-of-way valuations in the Southern California area, including Orange County, Los Angeles County, San Diego County, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties (Inland Empire), as well as Ventura County, Santa Barbara County, and Kern County. He has also appraised commercial properties in Northern California and the Southwest U.S. He has experience in valuing all areas of retail income producing properties including regional malls, power centers, neighborhood and community shopping centers, big box, strip centers, ground leases, single-tenant triple net leased properties, fitness centers and movie theaters. He also has experience in mixed-use project valuations, as well as appraising right-of-way easements/sites, vacant land, redevelopments and proposed projects.
Clients of Mr. Sydor include major banks and corporations, life insurance companies, regional and local lenders, mortgage brokers, plus individual property owners and tenants.
Mr. Sydor began his career with CBRE in 1998 as an Assistant Real Estate Analyst in the downtown Los Angeles office. He also worked with the Tamkin Development Corporation and Prudential California Realty (Commercial Division). He re-joined CBRE from 2012 through 2021 where he was consistently a top producer, and re-joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2021 as lead of the Retail Valuation Specialty team for California.
