Prior to starting with Cushman & Wakefield in 2018, Michael earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business.
At Cushman & Wakefield, Michael is an Associate Underwriter with a niche focus in affordable housing collateral. Throughout his time at Cushman & Wakefield, he has been primarily responsible for underwriting over $3.5 billion across 200+ unique transactions in various types of affordable housing mortgages including: Acquisitions, Refinances, Unfunded Forwards, Tax Exempt Loans, Preservation Rehabs, and Credit Enhanced Mortgages.
He has also helped originate and facilitate transactional and underwriting support for C&W’s Industrial and Office Capital Markets teams with an emphasis on process optimization and customized product creation in order to ascertain the client’s requests while upholding timing.
Mr. Willis has worked on several strategic advisory projects, generating & designing complex, ad-hoc financial models to fulfil nuanced client requests. His detail-oriented yet creative approach to financial modeling produces tangible insight for each project’s stakeholders while providing succinct results and reporting.
