About
Michael is a director on the Diligence Advisory team with a niche focus in affordable housing collateral. Throughout his time at Cushman & Wakefield, he has been primarily responsible for underwriting over $6.1 billion across 325+ unique transactions in various types of affordable housing mortgages including: Acquisitions, Refinances, Unfunded Forwards, Tax Exempt Loans, Preservation Rehabs, and Credit Enhanced Mortgages. Mr. Willis routinely executes rigorous quality assurance protocols and oversees pipeline/project management to ensure deliverables are always on time and uniform in nature. In addition to TAH transactions, Mr. Willis has significant experience underwriting conventional workforce housing communities as well.
Mr. Willis has managed 10+ strategic advisory projects, generating & designing complex, ad-hoc financial models to fulfil nuanced client requests. His detail-oriented yet creative approach to financial modeling produces tangible insight for each project’s stakeholders while providing succinct results and reporting. By serving as a project lead in numerous assignments, Mr. Willis ensures every deal team operates cohesively to efficiently provide succinct and accurate results.
He has also helped originate and facilitate transactional and underwriting support for Cushman & Wakefield’s Industrial and Office Capital Markets teams with an emphasis on process optimization and customized product creation in order to ascertain the client’s requests while upholding timing.
