James is Head of the EMEA Global Occupier Services team. With over 28 years’ professional experience, he works closely with the senior management of companies wishing to align their real estate strategy with their business objectives, ultimately to improve performance and create shareholder value. He has extensive real estate experience including ‘hands on’ projects in more than 40 countries across the globe.
Prior to his current role, James led Cushman & Wakefield’s Central London tenant representation team, advising a wide range of clients in the acquisition and disposal of offices, as well as providing development and consultancy advice. He also spent 9 months running the Cushman & Wakefield Bahrain office.
James is responsible for the delivery and management of real estate services for all occupier clients across EMEA offering an integrated account management service across the five key skill lines to include facilities management, strategic advisory, transaction management, occupier management and program management. His team works closely with local Cushman & Wakefield partners and resources. In addition, he is responsible for designing, implementing and managing client reporting processes, and the assurance of consistent delivery and reliability of Cushman & Wakefield services.
In 2014 James co-authored with Unwork, a major piece of research, interviewing 49 banks across the globe and creating some predictions on the Future of the Financial Workplace. This was followed in 2015 by a further major piece of work on the Future of the workplace in the TMT sector.
In 2015 James was President of the UK CoreNet Chapter, having previously led the Strategy & Portfolio Planning Community in the UK.
James has recently delivered the key note speech at the RICS and the SCSI conference on the GIG ECONOMY² + CRE² =…² looking at the effects in the future of technology and the sharing economy on corporate real estate.
