Jacob Johnston is an appraiser within the Valuation & Advisory group of Cushman & Wakefield of Illinois, Inc. and has been active in appraising real estate since 2007. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Johnston was a successful electronic trader at the Chicago Board of Trade for six years and worked at a variety of appraisal firms.

Mr. Johnston’s area of expertise is primarily shopping centers and various retail properties, although he has appraised a vast array of property types including office, industrial, lodging facilities, proposed development, multi-unit residential, automobile dealerships, mixed-use, and special-use properties. While primarily servicing the Chicagoland area, Mr. Johnston has appraised distant properties and became regionally competent for specific property types in Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, and Minnesota, amongst others.
