Mr. Satterfield is a Designated Member of the Appraisal Institute (SRA Designation) and has completed the Appraisal Institute Professional Development Programs in Litigation and Valuation of Conservation Easements. He started his appraisal career in 2015 as a Licensed Appraiser Trainee and has separately achieved both Certified Residential and Certified General Appraiser credentials, as well as the Right of Way Appraisal Certification (R/W-AC) of the International Right of Way Association. Throughout his career, he has completed appraisal assignments for various property types such as outdoor advertising device sites, commercial warehousing, mixed-use, recreational/trophy properties, flood hazard locations, single-unit and multi-unit residential, hobby farms, vacant land, offices, and industrial buildings. Each report was completed in conformance with standards, including the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), Uniform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisitions, and other applicable guidelines and regulations, such as eminent domain codes, agency right-of-way manuals, the Uniform Act, and The Uniform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisition. Mr. Satterfield completed various appraisal and appraisal review assignments for right-of-way/eminent domain acquisitions in multiple states.

In 2016, Mr. Satterfield founded Vista Realty Services, Inc., which specializes in appraisals and valuation services relating to acquisitions by governmental and quasi-governmental entities. Areas of focus include condemnation/eminent domain, right-of-way acquisitions, conservation easements, and federal land acquisitions.
