Based in Tampa, Florida, Lou Varsames focuses on serving Cushman & Wakefield’s Corporate Services clients across the country. Prior to Cushman & Wakefield, Lou served as Executive Managing Director for DTZ and Cassidy Turley and as Principal for CLW Real Estate Services Group since 1991, where he and his business partner, Doug Rothschild, led all aspects of the company.

Lou has been in the commercial real estate industry since 1983 and his background includes development, construction management, property management, leasing and both tenant and landlord representation. He began his career as a Leasing Agent and Project Manager for Cabot, Cabot and Forbes in Boston and later became a Partner for the Southeast Region of Towermarc Development, where he oversaw 3.5 million SF of office and industrial development. Lou served as the lead advisor on a 1 million SF project in Midtown Manhattan for PricewaterhouseCooper’s Worldwide Headquarters, valued at $2.2 billion, as well as the 600,000 SF national headquarters for Hartford Insurance Companies.  Lou also served as Lead Advisor on Aetna Insurance in the consolidation of 23 locations down to seven, within a 9-month time frame.  This included a national search for the most appropriate cities to fulfill Aetna’s business requirements.
