Megan Schmitt is an Associate in Cushman & Wakefield’s Equity, Debt & Structured Finance Group. She supports sourcing, underwriting, and executing customized capital placements across the capital stack—including joint venture equity, co-GP and preferred equity, as well as senior and subordinate debt. Her team specializes in multifamily and commercial real estate nationwide, spanning development, value-add, and stabilized investment strategies.

Ms. Schmitt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and is a licensed real estate broker. She began her career at a $5 billion AUM corporate multifamily investment and development firm, gaining hands-on experience in development, construction oversight, and asset management. She also held roles at a boutique investment sales advisory firm, focusing on multifamily, build-to-rent, single-family rental, and land transactions, and contributed to Cushman & Wakefield’s hospitality investment sales team.

In her current role, Ms. Schmitt leads new business development and capital partner engagement, cultivating and managing relationships with equity investors, lenders, and Sponsors. She plays a critical role in capital strategy formulation, prepares detailed investment materials, and supports deal execution through comprehensive financial analysis and market positioning. She brings a strong foundation in institutional real estate and capital markets, underpinning her team’s nationwide transaction activity across diverse capital profiles, asset types, and risk-return strategies.
