Sherry Cushman has been a leader in the commercial real estate industry for 33 years, exclusively representing the occupiers of space. She is headquartered in Cushman & Wakefield’s Washington, D.C. office and travels the country working with tenants to develop long-term business and real estate strategies that support and fulfill their business, financial and operational goals, with a focus on profitability impact for single, multi-office and large portfolio users alike.

As Executive Managing Director, Sherry also leads the Legal Sector Advisory Group for Cushman & Wakefield, a group comprised of 350+ advisors specializing in tenant representation in the legal sector. As a demonstrated leader in the industry and throughout the company, Ms. Cushman also serves as a Member of Cushman & Wakefield’s Global Advisory Board, Tenant Advisory Group (TAG) Executive Committee and Specialty Practice Group Advisory Teams. Sherry also serves as an Executive Committee Member and Co-Chair of Cushman & Wakefield's Women's Integrated Network (WIN) Recruitment Initiative which is empowered to drive the firm’s goal of becoming the employer of choice for women seeking a career in commercial real estate.

Throughout Ms. Cushman’s career she has consistently been ranked as one of the top 100 & 200 producing brokers worldwide and has won several philanthropic & achievement awards. She has been awarded numerous Transactions of the Year for clients in Washington, D.C. including Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, Earth Treks and American Psychiatric Association.

In 2015, Ms. Cushman was honored with the CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Lifetime Achievement Impact Award, as well as being recognized as a Heroine of Real Estate by the March of Dimes. Most recently, she was named to the Real Estate Forum Women of Influence Hall of Fame and recognized by the Washington Business Journal as one of their Women Who Mean Business in 2017.

As a strong believer in developing the next generation of leaders, Ms. Cushman has led the effort in partnering Cushman & Wakefield’s WIN initiative with Hugh Obrien Youth Leadership (“HOBY”), a global organization founded in 1958, whose mission is focused on inspiring and developing a global community of youth to a life dedicated to leadership, service and innovation.

Ms. Cushman’s expertise is with law firms, non-profits/associations and professional services clients. During her career, she has represented tenants in over 15 million square feet of tenant prime lease, lease restructures/renewals, build-to-suits and base building transactions for national and global accounts.

Ms. Cushman is also recognized law firm expert, bringing extensive thought leadership, consensus building and value to her clients. Some of her clients during her career include Morgan Lewis, Clifford Chance, Alston & Bird, Bracewell, DLA Piper, and Skadden Arps to name a few, as well as leading or serving on national/global accounts for Ballard Spahr, Kilpatrick Townsend, Kelley Drye and Marshall Dennehey.

In addition to her law firm clients, she has represented many association and government affairs clients including the Recording Industry Association of America, Entertainment Software Association, American Psychiatric Association and SoundExchange. She is also an avid car enthusiast and has had the pleasure of representing Auto Alliance, Global Automakers, Toyota, KIA and Hyundai in their real estate transactions.
