The statewide evaluation was conducted by the Globe Magazine and The Commonwealth Institute, a nonprofit organization devoted to advancing businesswomen in leadership positions. Cushman & Wakefield was the only commercial real estate firm named to the list.
The rankings for the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses are based on a variety of factors, including revenue, workplace and management diversity, innovation and the number and growth rate of full-time employees.
Led by Managing Principal Carolyn Sidor, who assumed her local leadership role two years ago, our team, comprised of more than 190 professionals from Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire, serves investor and occupier clients every day in multiple service lines including leasing, capital markets, project & development services, valuation & advisory, asset services and senior housing.

Though people often think innovation comes with technology, we believe people are the innovators in our company. Beginning in 2015, Cushman & Wakefield reshaped our services to be organized around how we interact with our clients versus how we work as a business. While the innovation with our services is centered around our clients, we are also laser-focused on innovating our internal culture. The talent we have in the New England market has many faces, and we’ve been working hard to develop and empower a culture that unleashes what’s possible in every person we hire. One change Carolyn has helped to promote is our emphasis on starting local chapters of our Employee Resource Groups, including the Women’s Integrated Network (WIN), Cushman & Wakefield Future Leaders (CWFL), Veterans Initiative Program (VIP), Unity (LGBTQ+ Integrated Network), Hispanic & Latino Advancement (HOLA) and Blacks United in Leadership & Development (BUILD), among others. These networks and connecting points are crucial in helping our employees learn from each other and showcase their talents through outlets other than their everyday roles.
Under Carolyn’s leadership we have grown to foster an environment that promotes a rigorous work ethic, dedication to service and client success, inclusion and a proven commitment to building a team where junior and senior level staff work side-by-side to accomplish goals.
