As we honor the brave men and women who have served in our U.S. armed forces – and particularly those who have made the ultimate sacrifice – Cushman & Wakefield is proud to announce a trio of recent accolades that recognize our commitment to the military community.

2019 Military Times Best for Vets EmployersThe Military Times announced that Cushman & Wakefield has been included on the publication’s annual “Best for Vets” list of 132 for profit, non-profit and governmental employers across the country that exemplify “determined efforts to recruit and support service members, veterans and military families.”

“These efforts deserve recognition from the country and should get the attention of veterans looking for a new career,” the publication’s editor wrote.

2019 US Veterans Magazine Best of the BestAdditionally, Cushman & Wakefield was selected as one of 198 companies across all industries to be named as a Top Veteran-Friendly Company by U.S. Veterans Magazine. To create the list, the magazine polled hundreds of Fortune 1000 companies and also considered additional market research, independent research, diversity conference participation and other factors.

Cushman & Wakefield is committed to being an employer of choice for military veterans and is a proud partner of Hiring Our Heroes and the Corporate Fellowship Program which provides veterans, transitioning service members and military spouses with training and hands-on experience in the civilian workforce.

The firm also recently received designation as a Military Friendly® Silver Employer in the category for companies exceeding $5 billion in revenue.

2020 Military Friendly Employer Silver BadgeThe 2020 Military Friendly® Company survey investigated and identified organizations whose commitment to serving the military and veteran community is comprehensive in scope and meaningful in terms of actual outcomes and impact. The organization used public data sources, proprietary data from its survey and personal data from surveys of veterans to evaluate companies’ and schools’ commitment and results.

Cushman & Wakefield exceeded Military Friendly® benchmarks in hiring and onboarding veterans, opportunity and advancement, culture and commitment, support and retention, policies and compliance, and recruiting and sourcing.

“We are honored and proud to receive the Military Friendly® award for the second consecutive year,” said Frank Stanley, Director, Veteran Programs at Cushman & Wakefield and LTC, U.S. Army. “We look forward to deepening our work with Military Friendly® and the invaluable service they provide. We are keenly aware that veterans can provide any organization with collaborative skills, an exemplary work ethic and leadership traits that are second to none.”
