The Military Times announced that Cushman & Wakefield has been included on the publication’s annual “Best for Vets” list of 132 for profit, non-profit and governmental employers across the country that exemplify “determined efforts to recruit and support service members, veterans and military families.”
“These efforts deserve recognition from the country and should get the attention of veterans looking for a new career,” the publication’s editor wrote.
Additionally, Cushman & Wakefield was selected as one of 198 companies across all industries to be named as a Top Veteran-Friendly Company by U.S. Veterans Magazine. To create the list, the magazine polled hundreds of Fortune 1000 companies and also considered additional market research, independent research, diversity conference participation and other factors.
Cushman & Wakefield is committed to being an employer of choice for military veterans and is a proud partner of Hiring Our Heroes and the Corporate Fellowship Program which provides veterans, transitioning service members and military spouses with training and hands-on experience in the civilian workforce.
The firm also recently received designation as a Military Friendly® Silver Employer in the category for companies exceeding $5 billion in revenue.
The 2021 Military Friendly® Company survey investigated and identified organizations whose commitment to serving the military and veteran community is comprehensive in scope and meaningful in terms of actual outcomes and impact. The organization used public data sources, proprietary data from its survey and personal data from surveys of veterans to evaluate companies’ and schools’ commitment and results.
Cushman & Wakefield exceeded Military Friendly® benchmarks in hiring and onboarding veterans, opportunity and advancement, culture and commitment, support and retention, policies and compliance, and recruiting and sourcing.
"Our commitment to service members and veterans has earned us a designation of Military Friendly for the 3rd consecutive year, and hopefully so many more to come. These programs go well-beyond simply hiring veterans and transitioning military, and they allow us access to develop the greatest talent on Earth - the American service member. We will continue to invest in these efforts for years to come because it's not only the right thing to do, but because it makes great business sense". Matt Disher, Military and Veteran Recruiting Program Leader.
