Cushman & Wakefield Spending Summer Serving Community – Asset Services Volunteers at Three NorCal Food Banks in June

Joshua Deale • 7/18/2022

Cushman & Wakefield’s Asset Services in Northern California continues to make their community and those in need a high priority in work and life. In the last week of June, more than 30 team members across multiple Asset Services departments volunteered at three Food Banks in Northern California, including Orangevale-Fair Oaks Food Bank (Sacramento County), Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano County, and the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank. Supporting local Food Banks has long-been an important mission for the Asset Services team, who remain committed to helping end hunger in their communities.

On June 28th, over a span of four hours from 9am to 1pm, 16 C&W team volunteers in Sacramento assisted the Orangevale-Fair Oaks Food Bank by helping the organization process donations and taking part in special projects at the facility. These volunteers included: Carolyn Spradley (event coordinator), Erica Bearden, Tom Brunner, Andrew Clarke, Trish Crichton, Jaydee DeLuca, Madi Dodd, Krista Finsterbusch, Jane Gallagher, Michael Hankus, Trude Hursh, Lucia Ingram, Roshnie Narayan, Myrrh Santos, Andrea Sell, and Natalie Williams.

Also on June 28th, from 1pm to 3pm, 10 C&W team volunteers in the East Bay supported the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano County by offloading, sorting and packing six pallets of donated food over the two-hour period. Volunteers included, Sharon Finch (event coordinator), Brad Collins, Cheryl Garcia, Scott Kirkpatrick, Sally Mercer, Kristin O'Keeffe, Melody Powell, Christine Rodriguez, Jasnoor Sekhon, along with broker Mike Copeland.

And on June 30, from 10am to 1pm, a team of 7 C&W volunteers once again joined up with the SF-Marin Food Bank by assisting with distributing a mighty 670 groceries bags to the participants at the Gordon J. Lau pop-up pantry location in Chinatown, San Francisco. The C&W volunteers included: Denise Yee (event coordinator), Joanne Gualco, Jenilynn Johnson, Susan Keokham, Marco McCartney, Megha Rajput, and Jacqueline Rojas. Asset Services also volunteered at SF-Marin Food Bank in March.

Cushman & Wakefield would like to encourage you to learn more about these amazing and needed Food Banks and consider volunteering and/or donating to their cause, or another Food Bank in your local community.
