Michael T. Flynn has over 17 years of commercial real estate experience having worked on executive teams at large corporations and as an advisor to his clients in a capacity as a real estate broker.  Prior to being recruited to Cushman & Wakefield Mr. Flynn held leadership roles in corporate real estate departments at both Time Inc. and Morgan Stanley for over 9 years.  During his time working on corporate real estate teams he gained significant experience working with client function heads and C-level corporate leadership teams around metrics based, process oriented, portfolio and transaction management with a focus on P&L containment and asset monetization.  While at Time Inc. Mr. Flynn led the team that successfully negotiated the 700,000 rsf lease to relocate Time Inc. from 1271 Avenue of the America to Brookfield place which resulted in a cost avoidance of over $1,000,000,000.  While at Morgan Stanley Mr. Flynn had portfolio oversight for a large portion of Morgan Stanley’s leased and owned assets across all platforms in both North and South America. 
 
Recognizing the needs of in-house corporate real estate and industrial development teams at class 1, 2, & 3 railroads, transload companies, 3rd party companies looking for new rail served sites and owners looking to market rail served assets Mr. Flynn founded the Cushman & Wakefield Rail Advisory Group.  The C&W Rail Advisory Group aligns the functional needs of rail focused corporations, end users and asset owners to assist them with a specialty rail centric support model that aligns to their specific needs.  The C&W rail advisory group is built to custom tailor support models for site selection, project management, specialty rail served facilities management, easement classification and mark-to-market monetization, etc.; to help companies align portfolio and financial objectives.  
 
Recognizing the unique needs of rail served clients Mr. Flynn has developed specialty software and a marketing platform geared to specifically target and address the needs of rail served end users and investors.
