Richard is responsible for leading strategy formation and the implementation of strategic projects for the UK business of Cushman & Wakefield.
As part of his responsibilities Richard has formed and leads C&W’s Futures Programme, a response to the disruptive factors impacting on the use of and investment in real estate.
He writes a weekly blog, ‘Futures /Cut’, which discusses issues such as technology, society, urbanism and economics, and has a regular readership in excess of 6,000. He co-heads C&W’s EMEA Futures programme, focussing on innovation and Proptech for C&W’s EMEA business, and he sits on C&W’s European leadership team and UK ExCo.
A real estate thought leader, Richard was previously Head of UK Research & Insight at Cushman & Wakefield. His prior career focused on land use, development and regeneration strategy. He has advised on some of the UK’s most significant development projects. Originally trained as a lawyer, skilled in financial appraisal, and an MBA graduate, Richard has a diverse and lateral skill-set which he uses to pursue his passion of driving innovation and leading thinking about the changing world.
