What do you like most about your job?
I feel very fortunate to be a part of the Portfolio Management team here in Boston. It is a great group of professionals who all have diverse backgrounds and experiences. I have learned, and continue to learn, so much from each of them. I also really enjoy being a trusted resource for others, whether it be colleagues or clients.
When you’re not working, where are you and what are you doing?
I typically run three to four times per week, which I really enjoy, but most of my time outside of work is spent with my husband and our two boys. Tyler is 10 and Ethan is 7, so we spend most weekends driving to the boys’ sporting events… lacrosse, soccer, golf, basketball, you name it… while also trying to squeeze in some other fun activities and spending time with extended family and friends.
What does CRE in Boston look like five years from now?
That’s a great question. There will always be growing, successful businesses wanting to be in the heart of the city, but with the election coming up and the inevitable fluctuation in the economy, it’s hard to say for sure. Hopefully, Boston will continue to be a desired location for years to come!
What’s the professional accomplishment you’re most proud of?
Like many others, I did not plan to have a career in CRE, but somehow close to 20 years ago, it found me. Prior to working on the client services side of the business at Cushman & Wakefield, I worked in both corporate and ownership environments. I feel fortunate to have worked in a few different facets of portfolio management, and I have enjoyed finding new and interesting ways to stay in the same general field, while engaging in experiences which have helped me grow both personally and professionally.
What’s your favorite spot in all of Boston?
With young kids, it’s hard to find time away from sports fields to get into the city and explore. But when we do, the kids love going to the Museum of Science and eating at the Cheesecake Factory around the corner. For a kid-free night, my husband and I would probably go somewhere in the North End for Italian!
