Jeannette Vahle joined Cushman & Wakefield as a vice president and leads the real estate management operations in Kansas City. Her responsibilities include directly supervising managers and the subsequent operations of their respective projects, facilities and engineering staff. Jeannette additionally oversees the daily operations of her own office and retail portfolio as well as the preparation and implementation of annual operating budgets, including significant capital upgrades. As a leader in the Kansas City office, she promotes professional development and quality control. Jeannette has extensive experience in facilities and property management, vendor management, budgeting and cost management. She maintains a high-level of interaction through frequent, proactive communication to both her clients and support staff.
Jeannette began her property management career in Los Angeles managing a Class A office portfolio. At the time of the 1994 Northridge earthquake, she was responsible for management of a 616,000 square foot office park portfolio comprised of twenty low- to mid-rise buildings located within miles of the epicenter. The buildings sustained major damage, and she was responsible for overseeing the immediate repairs needed to allow the tenants to return to their offices as well the long term restoration of the project to its Class A condition. In 2008, Jeannette took a position as the associate director of property management at the Kansas City based, Copaken Brooks commercial real estate firm. While there she was responsible for the management of over 750,000 square feet of Class A office and retail properties in Johnson County, the Country Club Plaza and Westport.
