Associate Director, Americas Capital Markets Research • United States
Kristina Garcia is Associate Director of Americas Multifamily Capital Markets Research and a member of the firm’s global research team, which includes Cushman & Wakefield’s Global Chief Economist, Global Head of Forecasting, and the research heads of capital markets, retail, industrial, and occupier services. Her primary focus is on the analysis of macro and microeconomic factors that impact the multifamily sector, supply and demand fundamentals, and capital markets trends in order to produce objective thought leadership and inform evidence-based investment strategies. In addition, her personal mission is to connect the dots in Cushman & Wakefield’s robust platform, including working directly with broker teams, Valuation & Advisory services, Strategic Consulting, and Pinnacle’s property management team.
Kristina has spent 13 years entirely dedicated to the multifamily space, first in valuation and advisory consulting, followed by marketing for broker teams, and finally transitioning to research. Prior to her current role, Kristina served as the regional head of research for Cushman & Wakefield’s Southeast Multifamily Advisory Group, which covers markets in more than nine states in the U.S.
She began her career with a six-year stint as a consultant for Novogradac & Company LLP, an accounting and advisory firm that specializes in affordable housing. There she performed market feasibility studies in markets across the U.S. and its territories for a variety of clients ranging from state agencies and housing authorities to merchant developers, syndicators, and investors before pivoting her career into marketing deals for broker teams at ARA Newmark.
